Maximum Size: 35cm
Identification: Variable red to silvery with red blotches; fins generally plain without spots or mottling; slightly rounded tail.
Favourite: Solitary or form small groups. Under ledges or hover next to coral beads during day.
Hide-out: Lagoon and seaward reefs in 15-30m.
Location: Indo-West Pacific - Gulf of Aden to Samoa - Philippines to Australia.
