Identification: Elongate; silvery; dark band runs from lip, across eye, to origin of dorsal fin, occasionally an amber stripe from gill cover to tail.
Favourite: Usually solitary, occasionally form small schools.
Hide-out: Pelagic, but occasionally over reefs.
Location: Circumtropical.
