Location: Asian Pacific - W. Pacific Rim from S.W. Japan, Indonesia, Malaysian Peninsula and Philippines to N.W. Australia.

Favourite: Solitary, in pairs or groups.
Hide-out: Coral-rich areas to 25m.
Location: Indian Ocean - Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea to W. Java in Indonesia.

Identification: Gray with pale gold spots on sides; white belt broadly bordered in black along back to tail base, black eye bar, large spot on nape.
Favourite: Solitary or in pairs.
Hide-out: Steep outer reef slopes in 10-60m.
Location: Pacific - N.E. Indonesia, E. Papua New Guinea to Solomon, Gilbert, Phoenix and Line Is. in eastern Central Pacific.
