Scientific Name: Oxycheilinus arenatus

Maximum Size: 19cm
Identification: Salmon to brown; dark stripe from eye to tail, orange base of pectoral fin; may change to white below dark stripe.
Favourite: Solitary and cryptic.
Hide-out: Hide inside caves, recesses and protected areas of outer reefs and dropoffs in 25-46m.
Location: Indo-West Pacific - Red Sea to Samoa, north to Philippines and Micronesia.
